The machine itself is fantastic and conditions clay beautifully. My only minor gripe is that the C-clamp doesn't fit over my custom-built, extra-thick workbench, so I had to mount it to a thinner desk nearby. Otherwise, flawless.
I've gone through three cheap pasta makers in the last two years. I finally decided to invest in a proper polymer clay press, and the difference is night and day. It handles hard Fimo Professional with zero complaints.
Great for miniature crafts. The thinnest setting (0.3mm) is genuinely paper-thin and consistent across the whole width of the roller. You just have to be careful not to roll too fast on the thinner settings to avoid tearing.
How to Condition & Blend
- Secure the machine to your crafting desk or table using the provided C-clamp, ensuring it is tight and wobble-free.
- Insert the hand-crank handle into the side port of the machine.
- Slice your polymer clay into manageable blocks and gently warm them in your hands.
- Pull the adjustment knob outwards and turn it to the widest setting (Setting 1).
- Feed the clay through the top rollers while turning the crank handle at a steady pace.
- Fold the rolled clay in half and pass it through again to condition. Repeat until smooth.
- To create thinner sheets or blend colours, gradually decrease the thickness setting one step at a time.
